It would be naïve to think that we can solve the accelerating ecological crisis with a quick technological fix. As full decoupling of economic growth and resource consumption is not possible, initiatives for a sustainable future require not only technological improvements, but also changes in consumption and social practices. Concerning questions like how and for whom, sustainable building culture is ultimately an aesthetic and ethical issue.
